“A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.”
Christopher Reeve
ADSI’s outreach to the disabled colony in Karmajiji, Airport Road, Abuja, on the 23rd day of December 2020, reminds us of the power of human compassion. In an outreach which met some social needs amongst 7112 inhabitants of the colony, in a package which had biscuits, cartons of indomie, washing soap, bathing soap, chivita fruit drink, football and some jumping ropes, the disabled were told that their physical disabilities have not robbed them of humanity and other abilities which can enrich mankind.
Leading the delegation that visited the colony, ADSI Lead Administrator, Mrs. Ladi Truman, happed on the need to support government in developing northern Nigeria, which underscores the main thrust behind the establishment of ADSI.
The outreach, which allowed ADSI to see other areas of urgent intervention in the colony, eventually attracted the donation of a borehole from a spirited individual, as his support to the giant strides of ADSI in bettering the lot of Arewa. The borehole will soon be sunk in the colony.
It is clear, that ADSI’s conspicuous transformation of lives in northern Nigeria is already being acknowledged by people who are not even members of ADSI. This goes to prove the fact that being that little spark of hope that we are in Arewa can later become the compass from which other Arewans commit to developing Arewa. Join ADSI today.
